Uttoxeter: temperatures are forecast to drop as low as -2C overnight

at Uttoxeter are hopeful the tracks meeting on Saturday will go ahead as planned despite calling an 8am inspection on the day of .

A threat of overnight frost forced clerk of the course to take action and call the inspection on Friday.

The course is in good condition and all the landings, take-offs and crossing have been covered with frost protection, said Moore.

But it is forecast to drop to -1C or -2C, possibly even -3C, overnight and I thought it was only sensible to make all interested parties be it owners, trainers, jockeys or racegoers aware of what was happening.

Id say I am 85-15 in favour of racing going ahead. Im very hopeful.

Uttoxeters seven- card is due to start at 1.05pm and the going is heavy.
